Aristotle & Shatangi

Solomon 3:4 reads, “I have found the one whom my soul loves.” Many people spend their lives searching for their soul mate, their one true love. Some people are lucky to find the person they can truly call the better half of themselves, while others spend the rest of their lives searching and never finding. I’m happy to count myself among the lucky ones, because I certainly found you.

I love you, Aristotle. I know that you are the only one for me, my true love. I am happy and I’m so grateful that you came into my life—that where others have spent their entire lives looking for the one—I have found you. My one and only. And now that I have found you, I will never let you go. This day I will marry my best friend and soul mate, the one I laugh with, live for, dream with, and love.

I love you from my soul and that has transformed and renewed me. You have shown me what true love feels like and for that I thank you. I thank God for creating you especially for me. You are everything that I need and at this moment I know that all my prayers have been answered and that all my dreams have come true. I praise God for you, Aristotle. I know that our love is heaven sent—it was destiny. From this day forward, you will never walk alone. I want and need you in my life completely and forever. I promise to be here forever and always.

Love has nothing to do with what you are expecting to get—only what you are expecting to give—which is everything. The more you invest in a marriage, the more valuable it becomes. You often ask me how much do I love you, and I always say words cannot express. Well today I’ve found the words.  So how much do I love you, Aristotle—enough. I love you enough to invest all of me. Today, I give myself to you in marriage. I love you this much, enough to do anything for you.

How much do I love you? I love you enough to give my life, my love, my heart, and my soul to you and for you. Through the pressures of the present and the uncertainties of the future, I promise to be faithful to you. I love you enough to willingly give all my time, efforts, thoughts, talents, trust, and prayers to you.

I love you enough to want to protect you, care for you, guide you, hold you, comfort you, listen to you, and cry to you and with you. Enough to be silly around you, to never have to hide anything from you, and be myself with you.

I love you enough to want the best for you, to wish for your success, and to hope for the fulfillment of all your dreams. Enough to keep my promises to you and pledge my loyalty and faithfulness to you. I love you enough to cherish your friendship, adore your personality, respect your values and see you for who you are.

I love you enough to fight for you, compromise for you, respect you, and sacrifice myself for you. Enough to believe in our relationship to stand by it through the worst of times, to have faith in our strength as a couple, and to never ever give up on us. I love you enough to spend the rest of my life with you, be there for you when you need or want me, and never ever want to leave you or live without you. This is my vow to you. From this day on, I take you, my beloved Aristotle, to be my husband.
